Dorothy: A Publishing Project

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Dorothy, a publishing project was created in 2010 in response to a perceived shortage of publishing alternatives for women writers of innovative fiction. Now entering its fourth year, the project publishes two books every fall, mostly but not solely by women authors, and seeks to feature together books that draw upon different aesthetic traditions. This panel will bring together three authors published by Dorothy--Amina Cain, Suzanne Scanlon, and Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi--to read from their work and to talk about the particular issues they find most pressing as (woman) writers of innovative fiction. The conversation will be introduced and moderated by Dorothy’s editor, Danielle Dutton.

Danielle Dutton

Danielle Dutton is the author of Attempts at a Life and SPRAWL, and the editor of Dorothy, a publishing project. She's on faculty in the MFA program at Washington University in St. Louis.
