Strange Objects: Narrative, Performance, Image, Space

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In discussing her curatorial installations, artist Susan Hiller has said that "any conscious configuration of objects tells a story." This creative/critical panel proposes to converse with “objectness” and with the notion of narrative as an attentive configuration with open-ended possibility, to think of narrative as a space rather than a line, where the energies of images and objects within prose are meditated upon and utilized (and always with the potential to utilize us). We are interested in narratives that reach out to other forms such as the baseball card collection, the art installation, the video, or the radio band to engage with and transform the way elements such as character, tone, and setting may act and appear.
