Modern What: A Wordy Mix of Films

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

I write to stake my interest in curating a program of 4 projected moving image works that have in common a desire to tangle with language and poetic practice.
For two years I have been curating a series called mt/time at Counterpath Press in Denver.  The initial idea was to create a "video bookshelf" online which consisted of a hand picked collection of filmmakers in serious active collaboration with poets, or with poetry.

This project grew out of my own recent collaborations with particular poets, and as such my proposal for And Now is to project a program of my own four short videos: Dark Enough (2011) a collaboration with poet Lisa Gill, Some Worlds (2012) a work for video, objects, voice and text with Matvei Yankelevich, @movies (2012) a digital slideshow/cinema poem, and a new work yet in progress called Modern What (2013) , in total approx 30 min or less, if such equipment could be organized in a suitable space.
